認識這首歌是源自於電影香草天空(Vanilla sky 2001)，由英國樂團Spiritualized所演唱，收錄在1997年所發表的專輯Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space，整張專輯瀰漫的Space rock/太空迷幻、Shoegaze/瞪鞋、Post-rock/後搖，據說是源自主唱Jason Pierce的失戀心情所完成的一張專輯，雖是以破碎的心情所製作的專輯，但專輯卻完整美好的不像話，悲傷卻更讓人感到共鳴，此張也被同年各大音樂雜誌列為年度十大專輯，同名歌曲也是他們最為人熟知的經典。

Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space，這首曲子難得的將演唱融為音樂的一體，將歌詞音階一層一層的疊上去，也是特別的迷人之處。這首絕對是我的十大愛歌，它太迷人太虛無也太悲傷，每一段都像在心中駐點的吶喊，我們漂流在太空虛實的空間裡，挖墾著荒蕪的星球，心碎又甜蜜的反覆吟唱著最深刻的愛情....。
