帝國反抗君 - PowerOp

之前提過的 公司搬家 這件事，終於即將在十一月上旬執行了，最近內部在徵求（六間）會議室的名稱。

網路上搜尋會議室命名會找到一些有趣的文章，可是要怎麼取個有意思的名字呢？

第一個想到的是 雲海 ，既然做的是資訊儲存，雲海在意象上似乎不錯（雲端運算啦、海量存儲啊），然後也隱含了台灣的一個景點（阿里山）。

可是還要去哪裡找另外五個意象呢（頭痛）。

後來找到了台灣八景，原來清朝跟日本時期，以及後來的國民黨、民進黨政府都有參一腳啊，大家都來湊這八景點。最近的版本是 2005 年交通部觀光局辦的票選選出來的：

北部
Taipei 101（台北101）
The National Palace Museum（故宮）

中部
Sun Moon Lake（日月潭）

南部
Love River（愛河）
Alishan（阿里山）
Yushan（玉山）
Kenting（墾丁）

東部
Taroko Gorge（太魯閣）

只是我們只需要六個名稱，該怎麼辦呢？

想了一下，也不難處理，既然公司搬進 Taipei 101 ，當然不必再把會議室叫這個名字了吧？

故宮其實在意象上是挺符合我們公司所專注的 Information Lifecycle Management ，可說是保存了大量的文化資訊，不過一方面距離公司最近，不管是同事或國外的訪客都可以親自前往一遊（不需要乾瞪著會議室的牌子）一方面英文名稱比較長，於是就把北部這兩個割愛，送出我的建議囉 :)

Since we only need six names, I decided to remove the northern two from the list, for we're located at Taipei 101. As to The National Palace Museum, it is just within one-hour driving distance, I assume our colleagues/visitors could actually GO there, not just fascinating how wonderful it would be from the door sign of our meeting rooms :p
