台北YWCA即將於6月27~28日舉辦「YWCA International Youth Forum」。

這是促進台灣年輕女性與外國朋友連結、建立友好的活動，獲行政院、外交部、青輔會指導、補助。

The YWCA International Youth Forum “Think Globally, Culture Exchange” organized by Taipei YWCA will be held from June 27 to June 28, 2009.

The Forum is a part of the currently ongoing YWCA Young Women International Affairs Training Project, which only happens every two years. The training program aims to cultivate young women in Taiwan in learning and facing critical issues in society from global prospects as well as bringing innovative ideas and active strategies into the local environment.

Through the Forum, Taipei YWCA hopes to allow interaction between YWCA young women and friends from all over the world. This discussion intends to reach cultural issues concerning young people in the world and to increase mutual understanding among young peers of different backgrounds.

Additionally, the event will take place both indoors and outdoors in order to truly carry out the purpose of culture exchange.


1. Theme：“Think Globally, Culture Exchange”


2. Objectives
a) To build a regional and global resources network in order to maximize young people’s learning and understanding about the world, including different cultures, histories, etc.
b) To create opportunities for young women in Taiwan in participation of global affairs.
c) To invite foreign friends to (re)discover Taipei, Taiwan.
