歐洲台灣研究學會年會徵文Call For Papers

The European Association of Taiwan Studies will hold its third annual
conference on 30-31 March 2006. The conference is co-organized by the School of Oriental and African Studies and the Groupe Francais de Recherche sur Taiwan.

Venue: Paris.


The organizers particularly welcome abstracts on the following
interdisciplinary themes:

(1) Localization versus Globalization
(2) Memory and Forgetting
(3) North South Divide
(4) Perspectives on Identity in Taiwan

We also invite submissions on the December 2005 elections for a panel focusing
on change and continuity in local electoral politics.

In addition, we will consider submissions in the following disciplinary areas:

(1) Economics
(2) Domestic and External Politics
(3) Society and Culture
(4) History
(5)Language and Literature

Please submit a 250-300 word abstract by December 23, 2005. Please e-mail the
abstracts to all three organizers: Dafydd Fell at SOAS (df2@soas.ac.uk ) or
Fiorella Allio (allio@up.univ-mrs.fr) , and Jean Pierre Cabestan
(jpcabestan@wanadoo.fr )

Paper presenters affiliated with European institutions will be eligible for
travel grants. Details will be announced in January.
