Neil Young & Pearl Jam – Rockin’ in the Free World

Like a HurricaneRockin’ in the Free World

今年

Pearl Jam

Rockin’ in the Free World

Keep Rockin~

You are a lucky man, indeed.

I read an open letter to Neil published in the San Francisco Chronicle a few days ago. It is long, but if you have any interests at all in protest songs, young musicians trying to be heard, U2, Iraq, or just the record industry, it is worth the read.

A stupid question: how do I link words to an URL, instead of showing it like I just did? Thanks.

to Cobain,

to yando,
ya! I read it already!
Though it's sarcastic but just like what Bono said.
In this internet world there are more and more new sounds want to be heard but rather have no chance at all.

US is a so-called liberal country but they also have coporations like Clean Channel that controls all the media resources.

Neil Young should also know this situation but he himself can't do nothing about it since there are too many different sounds.

I hope one day that all the sounds can be heard but it depends on how we bloggers and media brocast them.

Regarding the URL problem, actually I am also confused!
I know one guy know how to put it into words and photos, his name is 酒神!!! haha~

after asking him I will please him to answer the question~

to Ariel,

I agree. Everyone should see Neil Young and Crazy Horse together in concert, at least once. When they are in the zone, or 'swimming' in their own word, they can deliver the sound with hurrican like force but still packed with so much emotion, enough to make you want to cry.

I have seen him played with different bands over the years. This year he is touring with the group I really have no desire seeing again, the Crosby, Stills and Nash. CSN was once my favorite band, with or without Y. They are not bad in concert. Someone just forgot to tell some of them it is not 1960's any more.

haha,
agree....
at least these old guys created the album like deja vu, I think that's quite enough for them to being enlisted in the Rock'n'Roll history~

I also have no interest in watching their lives.

But may be that's because I always earn the passion from the music itself rather than from live performance.

Watching lives is a good thing, but without lives our lives still need to go on.

For what it's worth, Mr. Young was voted no. 2 among all living songwriters by Paste readers. (I know it's ridiculous to rank something like 'songwriting'.)

Yeah, if you ever stop by the San Francisco Bay Area, maybe we can go catch a show or two.

ya, I saw it!
The ridiculous part is that recent years all magazines or websites always list some charts trying to appeal the customers~

I don't know what their standard is but am kind also tired of reading this kind of chart.

If possible I definetely will go to SF to catch you, I still can not forget the huge AMOCO (may be wrong spelling~) record store, it is the biggest record store I have ever seen!
