New Order split up - this time for good?

Peter Hook says the band definitely are no more
New Order have split up, according to bassist Peter Hook.
As previously reported the band denied they were splitting earlier this year
despite drummer Stephen Morris being quoted as saying: "We should stop for a
while."
Speaking about his involvement in Perry Farrell's Satellite Party, Peter Hook
told Xfm that the band have broken up.
He said: "I spoke to Perry, and he asked me to play bass, as he'd heard about
New Order splitting up. Well yeah, me and Bernard (Sumner) aren't working
together."
When asked if the split was permanent, he added: "Bernard went off for a
break with Electronic, but that was different. But it's like the boy who
cried wolf this time."

再等一個七年的可能性實在不大... 畢竟他們都差不多五十歲了, 而自從 gillian gilbert 離隊後 new order 實在是少了四份一。

New Order不會解散 只是Peter Hook會離隊
話雖如此 沒有Peter的New Order怎麼New Order得起來呢
A source close to the band told NewOrderOnline that the news about the split is false, New Order still exists despite what New Order's bassist said. Peter Hook can leave the band, but this doesn't mean the end of New Order.
We remind you that the claims of New Order's split originated from Peter Hook's blog on MySpace, apparently he didn't warn the rest of the band that were surprised about this news.
Joy division were Peter and Bernard's band initially, and becoming New order the band is truly democratif and have been treated as such,.
They are still a band but obviously things are being made increasingly difficult as Peter makes claims of a split.
