Proverbs 23:7 For as the thoughts of his heart are, so is he: Take food and drink, he says to you; but his heart is not with you.

因為他心怎樣思量，他為人就是怎樣。

Ephesians 4:22 That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.

就要脫去你們從前行為上的舊人。…又要將你們的心志改換一新，並且穿上新人。

Philippians 4:8 For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things.

凡是真實的、可敬的、公義的、清潔的、可愛的、有美名的，若有什麼德行，若有什麼稱讚，這些事你們都要思念。

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world, but be changed and made new in mind, so that by experience you may have knowledge of the good and pleasing and complete purpose of God.

心意更新而變化

有一個樂觀的農夫和一個悲觀的農夫。當下雨的時候，看著雨水落在土裡，樂觀的農夫會說：「上帝，感謝祢啊，謝謝祢澆灌我們的莊稼。」

悲觀的農夫則說：「是沒錯。但是如果雨不斷地下，這些農作物的根就會爛得一塌糊塗，我們根本就沒法兒收成。」

當太陽出來後，樂觀的農夫說：「感謝祢，上帝，謝謝祢賜下陽光。現在這些作物都得著它們所需的維他命和礦物質。我們今年可望大豐收了。」

悲觀的農夫說：「是沒錯，但如果一直這樣下去，太陽會把植物都給曬焦。我們到時候連日子都過不下去的。」

有一天，這兩個農夫一起去打獵，樂觀的農夫帶著他的捕鳥獵犬一同前去，他是如此地自豪這隻狗以至於迫不及待想要炫耀一番。他們划了一艘小漁船，然後就在船上等著。沒多久，一隻大鵝從他們的頭上飛過。砰！樂觀的農夫一槍將大鵝打落湖心。他轉過身來對他朋友說：「現在看看我這隻狗會怎麼做。」那隻狗立刻跳下船，迅速地在水面上往湖的中央跑去，咬起大鵝，又飛快地跑回船上。樂觀的農夫高興地揉了揉那隻狗的雙耳，然後轉身對朋友說：「你覺得怎麼樣？」

那悲觀的農夫搖著頭不屑地說道：「我就知道，」他說：「那隻狗連游泳都不會！」
