Carrying on the tradition of inspiring and serving the female theatre artists, the Fourth Taiwan Women Theatre Festival has brought to you great theatres of diverse styles, from the refined to the experimental, including five Taiwanese and one British performances.

●Contemporary Performance Making Workshop

Led by Helen Paris and Leslie Hill of the renowned British theatre company, Curious, this five-day workshop will train participants in areas of body memory and autobiography, performance writing, site-specific work, and installation and documentation to produce and perform original work.

Time: May 13-16 (14:00- 18:00), May 17 (18:00- 22:00) 14 hr. workshop, 6 hr. of rehearsal

Workshop Presentation: May 18 (13:30- 15:30)

Fees: NT$ 1800

●Women Produce Women Theatre Conference

Women Produce Women Theatre Conference is a groundbreaking venture to further establish the theoretical base of women’s theatre and gender performances.

Time: May 17-18

Fees: Free (lunch not provided, purchase of conference book for a nominal fee)

●Women View Women: Live Performance Screening of British Female Artists

Collaborated between the Festival and Live Art Development Agency, this video program presents the work of seven avant-garde British performing artists: Bobby Baker, Curious, Marcia Farquhar, Kira O'Reilly, Grace Surman, Yara El-Sherbini and Stacy Makishi.

Time: May 15-18, May 22- 25 (18:00-19:10)

Fees: NT$100 at the door
