http://news.yam.com/event/2005/splittism/dictionary.html#d14

就樣Thomas PaineCommon sense一文中的論點一樣:“But Britain is the parent country, say some. Then the more shame upon her conduct. Even brutes do not devour their young, nor savages make war upon their families; Wherefore, the assertion, if true, turns to her reproach; but it happens not to be true, or only partly so…This new world hath been the asylum for the persecuted lovers of civil and religious liberty from every part of Europe. Hither have they fled, not from the tender embraces of the mother, but from the cruelty of the monster; and it is so far true of England, that the same tyranny which drove the first emigrants from home, pursue their descendants still.”

Then tell me whether you can hereafter love, honor and faithfully serve the power that hath carried fire and sword into your hand?”(然後告訴我,妳今後可能愛、尊重或忠誠於一個曾經給你土地帶來戰火的政權嗎?) Thomas PaineCommon sense

10 Places of My City - Taipei (2)

4、【Taipei Fine Arts MuseumThe Fine Arts Museum is located near the Chung-Shan Bridge in Taipei. You can walk about ten min from the Yuan-Shan MRT station to the museum.  Since I found the good place to visit, I usually went here at leisure with my friends or by myself. The ticket is very cheap, it only cost NT.15 and you can spend half-day here. There are not only exhibited some painting or traditional Chinese painting, but also some contemporary arts such as Images, public arts or furniture designs…etc. The Taipei Biennial is one of the most expectant exhibition in the museum and there are a lot of great  and surprised works in Taipei Biennial.  Next to the museum, there is a beautiful park in the right side and there is an English-like building in the left side.  The building is called Taipei Story House where was the house built by a merchant prince for play host to his friends 90 years ago.  Now, that is a place for exhibit some things about Old Taipei and there is a restaurant for visitors.  The House is also an interesting place to visit.

5、【Museum of Contemporary ArtMOCA can be said the second Taipei Art museum.  I love the place very much, when there is some new exhibition I must went back to Taipei to visit.  This museum was previously the Taipei Government City Hall and it refurbished for the Museum of Contemporary Art in 2001.  The foundation of MOCA sets records in several aspects: It is the first museum in Taiwan to focus exclusively on contemporary art. It is the first museum in Taiwan to be housed in an historic building, and it is the first museum in Taiwan to be jointly funded by a city and the private sector.cited form the MOCA website. When you walk in this museum, you will feel as if walking in the interlaced space-time house. The house of red bricks had been an elementary school long long year ago and then a city hall before.  When going through the old long corridor, you can go into the room where was full of contemporary arts.  By the way, the ticket there is one of the special things. Although it cost NT.50 more expensive then Taipei Art museum, but the tickets were designed according the topic of the exhibition at that time and it can be a souvenir.

5、【ChingteingangChingteingang is a Xanadu on the Yang Ming Mountain and it also a place where the university students in Taipei like to do club activities. When I was in Taipei, I sometimes took the bus 15 to Lengshuikeng and walk to Chingteingang through a small waterfall or by Old Fish Road(The name of the road is because the ancients carried the fishes by the road to sell the fishes) Chingteingang is a widest grassland. It was the pasture during the Japanese-Age and you still can see some cattle there.  I love the expansion feeling in Chingteingang and I can leave the noisy in city and enjoy the works of God.  That was said that some ABCs who had ever gone there in the CYC camp also make good impression in this place.
