Wanted! - Movie Club Members! 20061209

通知
Dear friends,
How was your holiday? Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.
Big thanks to our advisor, Prof. Lin, and her husband. They generously gave us a wonderful Thanksgiving night. I can still recall the cute face of Rasco and the flavor of the beers.
I am planning to organize a Movie Club. I am thinking that the group can meet once a month, probably on the second Saturday of each month (if it ends as a small group, then the time is more flexible). For each meeting, one member will choose a movie to share with the whole group. Since we are on the Hollywood land, I kind of hope that the movie we’re gonna watch together will be less Hollywood, and less commercial. However, it is just my personal opinion. Each member can share any movie he or she likes. For the first meeting, I pick a Taiwan documentary called “奇蹟的夏天 (My Football Summer)”. Please don’t be bored by the word “documentary” which doesn’t mean long conversations and monotonic visions any more. You come to see, and you know.
UKTSA Movie Club – First Meeting
Time: Dec. 9th, 2 pm
Place: Undetermined (it depends on how big the group will be)
Film: 奇蹟的夏天 (My Football Summer)

More details will be discussed during the first meeting. If you are interested in joining in the movie club, please contact me by mail (blaturtle@yahoo.com) or by phone (859-552-7248) before this coming Saturday.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Best Wishes,

Plan Change
Hey Taiwanese students,
Our movie club is going to meet at Andy & Stacey’s home at 7 pm today (12/9, Saturday). The movie we are gonna watch is “Holiday Dreaming (夢遊夏威夷)” which won the Grand Lotus Prize and International Critics Prize in the French Deauville International Film Festival 2005. The story is about some sorrows of Taiwanese young people, but the director presents them with bright colors. Just like the youth in real life, it’s always crazy, irritating, amusing, confusing, and sweet as well. You can check it out on the official website or here . Hope to see you there. If you need a ride, please feel free to contact me (I-Fang, 859-552-7248). Good Luck.

Review - I
