駐紐約辦事處福爾摩莎讀書會

駐紐約辦事處將於2月 28日（星期三）晚間 06:30於地下室，開辦第一場「駐紐約辦事處福爾摩莎讀書會」（ Formosa Book Club in Taipei Economic & Cultural Office），誠摯歡迎同學前來參加。

此系列活動原則是每月一次，邀請知名國際關係專書作者來處演講其專書。第一場係邀請紐約地區知名的政治風險專業顧問公司 Eurasia Group 總裁Ian Bremmer講演其著作：The J Curve: A Way to Understand Why Nations Rise and Fall，本書經The Economist選為2006年最佳著作之一， B總裁已先後接受紐約地區諸多智庫如 Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs及Japan Society邀請講演，特接受本處邀請主講第一場，講演後並安排有小型reception ，增進互動。請各位參看附加檔案，並傳送邀請您的朋友一同參加！因為地下室視聽室座位有限，各位會長、同學及您所邀請的客人均請依照節目單e-mail至 events@tecony.org登記參加，以便統計人數，謝謝!

7th Flamenco Festival of New York

This month is the 7th Flamenco Festival of New York. This is one of most exciting art festivals that I've ever been to. This year, there are eight shows of best Flamenco dancers, guitarists and singers invited directly from Andalucia, Spain. This is the biggest Flamenco festival outside of Spain and a very rare chance to see so many Flamenco masters all together. Last year, I went to four shows and only 'incredible' can describe my feeling. I want to share this news with our Taiwanese friends, who might have interest in Spanish/Flamenco art. One best kept secret is: we can buy the student ticket well before the shows for only 15 dollars each show. You don't need to line up for discount tickets before the show. Anyone who's interested can go to the World Music Instiute on the cornor of 6th Ave and 27th St with the student ID.

Chiu's clarinet recital

Dear all,

Happy New Year 2007 ^^
I would like to invite you to my up-coming recital,
which will be on Feb. 6 at 7:30 pm, in Elebash Recital Hall at the CUNY Graduate Center-- 365 Fifth Avenue (at 34th St.)

The program includes Alban Berg's Four pieces for clarinet and piano, op. 5, Max Reger's Clarinet/Viola Sonata no. 3, B-flat major, op. 107, Edison Denissov's Sonata for solo clarinet, and Sergei Prokofiev's Sonata, op. 94.
