RIP: Dewey Redman, 1931-2006

今日紐約時報消息：（新聞頁）
Dewey Redman, an expansive and poetic tenor saxophonist and bandleader who had been at the aesthetic frontiers of jazz since the 1960’s, died on Saturday in Brooklyn. He was 75 and lived in Brooklyn.

可恨的是，手邊竟然沒有老先生的吸滴，太慘。

另，Flickr這位朋友看來是拍到老先生的告別秀了。

　Timo 旅英應該有機會找到他一些作品，在台灣要找到他的個人專輯就困難了，我只聽過《The Ear Of The Behearer》，頗覺遺憾。倒是他為人作嫁的容易得多，而且都棒透了。

今天收到ECM的newsletter
上面算是很合情理地哀悼了Dewey伯逝世之事
裡面有一段話：

啊，結果你們ECM幫他錄的唯一一張個人專輯"The Struggle Continues"
竟然就讓它絕版到現在都沒重發啊，實在是很沒天良

雖然說，這張不怎麼樣，不過封面很帥啊
