David Nalbandian:
"I think I played very well throughout the match. It's true that in the first
set I had a bit of bad luck in the important moments or failed to return some
balls and he took advantage of it well. It was a 6-1 kind of fast but I felt
that I was playing well. From that moment on, everything started to get better.
I think I managed to put him under pressure.

"I think my only problem this year were my injuries at the beginning of the
season, in Australia, and then during the clay season; until Roland Garros I
wasn't well physically. I had a few injuries that wouldn't let me train hard or
be ready to face the best players of the world. After Roland Garros, after
Wimbledon I was able to start working hard, to spend more hours in the court
and the gym. We had been working hard and it was bound to give its results any
moment. And, well, you saw it this week.

"[The title] is really important because of the moment it's taken place in. I
think it will come in handy to have a good start for next year. It was one of
the goals we had set up for this indoors season."
