一人一信抗議NASA稱台灣為中國的一省 (已正名成功）


酥餅：正名成功，感謝大家的通力合作。


網友通報美國NASA在網站上稱台灣為中國的一省，這是讓全世界相關研究人員下載衛星資料的資料庫，申請資料時要登記國別，所以要到訂單(order form)的步驟才會看到國家的選項，圖片如上。

這個網站通報的網友常常在抓資料，以前只寫 Taiwan 而已，是最近才改的。美國國務院一九九六年備忘錄，要求政府相關部門及官員往後提到台灣時，一律以「Taiwan」稱呼，不得使用其他名稱。 NASA是受美國政府補助的單位，如何稱呼台灣應該按照美國政府的規定，他們的行為已經違反規定，我呼籲大家一人一信去抗議。

抗議信範本與步驟如下：

抗議步驟

一、按一下這個連結，移到畫面最下面點Email us，就會出現一個可以填寫建議的表單。

二、在第一部份填下你的個人資料，在第二部份填標題(Synopsis)的部份填上「Taiwan is not a province of China」

三、將下列的抗議信拷貝在內容(Detail)的部份寄出。

Dear NASA Official,

In the "Order Form" for the WIST product request, you mistakenly list Taiwan as "Taiwan, Province of China", which indicates that Taiwan is part of China. Would you please remove "Province of China" from the list?

Taiwan is an independent country with its own government, elections, currency, army, and defined territory. Taiwan negotiates its own treaties with the United States. It is obvious that Taiwan is not part of China.

It is noteworthy that in the "EOS Data Gateway", the old version of WIST, Taiwan is listed without "Province of China" in the order form. So, again, would you please remove "Province of China" from Taiwan in the list?

另一個版本的抗議信，給大家做參考：

I learn that in the "Order Form" for the WIST product request, Taiwan is terribly mistaken as "Taiwan, Province of China". I would like to indicate some facts here. You ignore not only the fact that Taiwan is NOT part of China, but also the fact that Taiwan is an independent country with its own government, elections, currency, army, and defined territory. More important, Taiwan negotiates its own treaties with the United States. Tenable and unchanged facts can claim that Taiwan is definitely not part of China. Therefore I am asking you to tackle this issue sensibly, correct the error and remove "Province of China" from Taiwan on the list.

的確,之前進NASA網站發現過,非常難過,實在選不下去.
不過好在它們真正印出的地址只印到Taiwan.

不過還真的是要去反映才對.

上次申請她們的會員資料其中國籍一項也是寫台灣是大陸的一個省份
當下很生氣不申請了
那次之後就再也沒搭過大陸航空

這個問題還會常常碰到
大部分的網頁遇到需要選擇國家的時候
都是使用現成的(ISO提供的)Country Codes
有些軟體也自動把(Taiwan, China)設為快取(你打Taiwan，它自動跳出Taiwan, China供你選擇
我們應該快快想對策

最近常看到諸如此類自動幫台灣列為中國一省的消息,
不禁令人害怕揣測:
難道已經有人默默和支那簽訂什麼協議了嗎????
所以支那行文世界各單位做這些變更???

愈想愈令人不寒而慄~
這個賣國政府還能不推翻啊?!

偶然間發現有個投票的活動將玉山列入新世界七大奇景的入圍者之一, 但那個的主辦單位將 Yu Shan 的所屬 country 列為 chinese taipei. 請問我們可以怎麼要求他們更改這個 country name?
