紐約時報報導參議院通過一項透過退稅補助避免因為繳不出房貸而失去房子的法案，這項法案可能需要數十億美金的經費，其中夾帶了不少利益團體的私利。
酥餅：這項法案是布希總統的政策，很快就在參院通過可見美國朝野都擔憂房貸可能引起的風暴，不要忘了，美國的參院現在是由民主黨掌控，而且美國大選也近在眼前，但是為了國家好，民主黨不會也不敢在國會杯葛這種法案，只是紐約時報忍不住還是要酸一下，這就是先進民主國家政黨政治運作的模式。
今日美國報報導Merck藥廠在推銷止痛藥Vioxx時可能涉及一些誤導消費者的行為。
華爾街日報報導布希總統同意在2025年前完成溫室效應氣體排放量凍增。同時也暗示他可能同意立法規範發電廠造成的污染。
洛杉磯時報的民調顯示，Hillary在即將到來的幾場初選領先幅度可能不及預期，即便如此，79％支持Hillary的選民支持他繼續選下去，華盛頓郵報的民調顯示60％的民主黨支持者也支持所有參選人繼續參選到分出勝負為止。

The reporter, Jamyang Kyi, 42, an announcer at the state-run television station in Qinghai, a western province bordering Tibet, was escorted from her office on April 1 by plainclothes police officers in the city of Xining, according to colleagues and friends. The authorities also confiscated her computer and a list of contacts, they said.
