一人一信抗議世界經濟論壇稱台灣為中國台灣
世界經濟論壇 (World Economic Forum or WEF) 公佈2006-2007年的世界競爭力報告，在報告中竟然改稱台灣為中國台灣 (Taiwan, China)，嚴重混淆事實，矮化台灣，我建議大家一人一信寫信到WEF去抗議，也歡迎大家轉貼這篇抗議文，邀請更多人加入一人一信的行列。
抗議方法
1.拷貝下面的抗議信範本，寫EMAIL寄到 gcp@weforum.org，在 標題寫上Taiwan is not part of China。

Dear World Economic Forum,
In your 2006-2007 Global Competitiveness Report, you mistakenly list Taiwan as a Taiwan, China which implies Taiwan is part of China. Please remove “China” from the list of Taiwan.
Taiwan is an independent country with its own government, elections, currency and defined territory. Taiwan negotiates its own treaties and has its own president. It is obvious that Taiwan is not part of China no matter how the United Nation calls Taiwan.
The United Nation is a political organization. It ignores the fact and mistreats Taiwan for political reasons. On the other hand, as one of the most renowned publication for global economies, WEF should strive to report the truth. Listing Taiwan as Taiwan, China smacks against this principle especially when you are not listing Hong Kong as Hong Kong, China.
Again, please remove “China” from the list of Taiwan. Thank you very much for your concern.

酥餅：外交部已經採取行動了，但是我們一人一信的活動還是不能停，才能成為外交部的後盾。
酥餅先生惠鑒：
您在本(95)年10月3日致函本部黃部長的電子郵件已經收悉。有關世界經濟論壇年度全球競爭力報告片面改變台灣名稱為「台灣，中國」事，對於您的關心與發聲，本部特申謝忱。
眾所周知，世界經濟論壇公布的年度全球競爭力報告基本上是針對世界各國年度經貿相關績效作一評鑑，與政治無關。但是，世界經濟論壇卻將經貿屬性的年度全球競爭力報告泛政治化，將我名稱更改為「台灣，中國」，顯見該論壇已屈服中國的政治壓力。長久以來，中國一直不擇手段打壓我國的國際活動空間，圖謀矮化我國國際人格，世界經濟論壇片面將我名稱更改為「台灣，中國」，又係另一明證，國人更應認清中國之真面目。
我方決不接受世界經濟論壇的此項作法，本案我經建會胡主委已致函該論壇提出嚴正的抗議，而外交部除了已經訓令駐日內瓦辦事處向世界經濟論壇表達嚴正抗議外，並將持續與世界經濟論壇溝通，力促該論壇更正對我國的不當稱呼，以正國際視聽。

Dear sirs,
I would like to inform you that as a citizen of Taiwan, I am deeply offended by your inclusion of my country as a part of China. I would like to point out the fact that unless you believe two independent sets of government, one democratic and the other autocratic, could actually coexist within one nation, it would be most illogical and even hilarious for you to list Taiwan as a part of China. And by doing so, you have jeopardized your integrity by making such kind of political statement which to all people in Taiwan is as insolent and offensive as Chinese air missiles.
IF WEF is truly an organization “committed to improving the state of the world”, I believe it would also value and abide by humanistic principles that to the best of my knowledge do not include threatening others with air missiles. Therefore, it is extremely disturbing and puzzling that you would have chosen to play along with Chinese military threat against Taiwan rather than respecting the dignity of my country. It is certainly a queer way of going about “improving the state of the world”.
UN has been and probably will always be a hypocritical political group that strives to achieve the best possible interest for its member nations while exploiting other non- members. It often “inadvertently” acts as God’s messenger in stipulating the wishes for others while fantasizing about bringing justice and peace to the world.
I would like to ask for your kind forgiveness that Taiwan, as an independent nation confronted with real military danger from China, does not share the kind of UN humor as described in the above paragraph. Therefore, Your kind understanding and compassion for Taiwan’s difficult state would be greatly appreciated.
By acknowledging Taiwan as Taiwan in your publications, you could lend a helping hand in finding back the justice that so rightfully belong to every citizen in the world, and I believe that also include the people of Taiwan.

台灣的正式國號還是Repulic of China，別人寫明China有錯嗎？有種的就改國號正正當當的叫台灣再吵鬧。
做中國人真的那麼差嗎？大家在唏哩嗚呼臭罵一通的也不過是正體中文（還要強調自己才是正體），過的也是農曆年，元宵，端午,中秋這些中國人的節日，吃的也是中菜，甚至大家的思想中多少都有中國文化傳統思想。這些都是說自己是台灣就能抹掉的嗎？
中國人不是口說的，是文化上的。
現在要怨沒有聯合國席位？要怨沒有國際生存空間？中華民國原來不是全中國及台灣的代表嗎？幹嗎現在可以讓人說打壓就打壓？沒美國的肯首，你們會這麼受氣嗎？讓你爭到了聯合國的席位，有否決權嗎？有影響聯合國的能力嗎？在國際組織上能叫做台灣了，能讓你們多得多少發言權？能讓你們得到多少利益？能讓你們實現多少理想？你說得出來嗎？
在外國人看來，你認為他們看到的，是一群人在要別人叫他們做甚麼？像國小學生讓人叫醜八怪後向老師哭喪著臉投訴？還是讓那些蠅頭大的小島國一再敲竹槓的大好機會？

酥餅：你問的問題大部分在中國人FAQ中已經回答了，不過你倒是說對了一件事，「中華民國」這四個字在國際中真的是讓很多人以為台灣是中國的一部份的理由與藉口。
