Go Canada!!!
10pm...It's spring break already...
.
The New Paltz campus is so quiet...and there are only few international students still stay in my dorm. This building is suposed to be closed, but we asked our RD to let us stay secretly.
.
I'm going to Montreal and Quebec in following a few days.
Yes! I'm going to Canada! SEE YOU~~

Dear J,
.
It's about time to sleep, but I can't stop missing you. I can't help turning on the computer again...
.
After a shower, with a dim ligh, I looked at myself in the mirror... I looked at the young man with tender eyes, and somehow my mind was flashed back to the past years, in which I was adolescent in love and struggled in self-awareness...
.
I like myself, and I always know I can be a better man. And you, dear J, really let me be strong, be tender, and feel that I am full of love.
.
I miss you so much.
I can't wait to see you...
I wanna give you all of my love!!

The Armory Show

As I told you last time, yesterday, my friends and I went to NYC to see The Armory Show. It was a beautiful day. Temperature was warm. Breeze, sunshine, and the expectation of coming spring was appearing everywhere in Manhattan. After we arrived the city, the first destination was MoMA, which had an exhibition about Edvard Munch(You can see the on-line audio tour in this website). His paintings were unique, but not good for health...ha. You know, most of them were full of sadness and despair. We stayed in MoMA from 10:30 to 12:00. After lunch, we took taxis to the Amory Show directly. The show was located at upper west, on two huge piers by the Hudson River. There were hundreds of galleries form all of the world gathering here and promoting their artists, and I heard French, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and some other languages that I couldn't recognize. This afternoon, we spent about 4 hours at that place but just skimmed over in a rush. Since I couldn't stop taking pictures and it was too difficult to pay attention on each work, after coming back and looking through all my pictures, some of them I even couldn't remember that I had seen in the show. The Amory Show was good, although It was held by galleries and we can't deny that it was a commercial place. By these diverse and vibrant works, we could feel the fascination of art (and money), and it is what we have to build up for the environment of art in Taiwan. People love art here. They talk about art, buy art, be proud of art. And art itself not only feeds back by wealth, but also inspires design, architecture, fashion, and etc. Isn't it a good business? Of course, art is art itself, and too mush business thing doesn't mean good for it. However...ha...let's see those pictures!

After the Amory Show, do you know what? We went to Whitney Biennial because of the free Friday night. Wasn't it crazy? It was too much art in one day! I was so tired and just looked around so fest. This exhibition was very good. I think it was better than the Armory Show in certain ways. They were different, I know, but I will definitely go Whitney again. This exhibition will be still on in the end of May.
.
In the end of the day, we took the last bus at 11:30 back to New Paltz...I was exhausted...Gosh...my legs... ...繼續閱讀

two things

There are two news...
.
First, I'm going to the Armory Show in New York City tomorrow. It will be an extremely huge gallery fair which promotes new artists and famous art works to collectors and patrons. Yes, it is a business place, and I'm going to see how expansive those works are! Art can and should be a good business in certain ways. It is what we have to learn in New York and bring back to Taiwan. I'll take pictures as many as possible and show them here.
.
Second, I got the first acceptance today...Oh...finally! :)
