Watching out the English

Monday, 12 February 

We apologise that most buildings were closed on
Monday, this was due to a power failure which affected the Holborn area. It
meant that all classes and lectures were cancelled although the Library reopened
later in the day. All LSE buildings are open on Tuesday 13 February and classes
will be held as normal.

 

 今天又是恐怖星期一，整天的行程排的滿滿的。非常不想出門面對這世界。在我好不容易掙扎著起床準備赴學校之際，卻看到一群人幾在宿舍門口爭看著一張手寫的
公告：LSE is closed today because of complete power cut-off. Please don't
go to school till further notice.我看到時楞了一下，想說心想事成也不是這樣的吧，於是轉頭問旁邊的人，Is it
a joke?他噗嗤笑了一聲，說It's true。



還是到學校晃了一下，每棟建築物前都貼著手寫的公告，說今天全部的Lecture與Seminar都取消，有的老師則自己貼公告說他在Pret A Manger等她的學生Tutorial。


整個Holborn區的半邊都停電，也沒有紅綠燈。交通警察與技術工人在路上忙忙碌碌，行人則茫茫然然的似乎不知道該怎麼面對突然失去電力的一天。
