Ah~a good book. i think now i am a Jode Picoult's fan~~~~

from the introduction, i was already feel into the story because it is talking about the school shooting.

Peter is a boy who is not like the others in the school. he is just being himself, but this pisses everybody off. because the policy in the school is that you have to act like the other people, his different makes him stand out in the school. and because of that, he becomes the main target of the bullies. people make fun of him, call him homo, freak. people bit him, choke him, even send his love letter to the whole school and the worst thing is to take off his pant and showed his penis in the public. one day, Peter takes out the gun and walks into the cafeteria and shot ten people to dead.

the book doesn't give the reader a clear statement about who is wrong or right. it just simply shows us that how this world works. how a person who is different and to deal with the world around him and how the others are afraid to fight from themselves and just lie to themselves and try to fit in this world. how different folks educate their children. the ending is another shocking moment. it doesn't turn the story upside down. it gives you a long thinking to look into someone's inner life very deep.

it's really a great story. now, i am going to read her another great story - My sister's keeper

by the way, i don't understand why there are so many different cover design for one book???
