A Summer Stroll in Germany (I)
Our second stop is southern Germany--the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), where the famous cuckoo clocks are made. :D Hey, who says the Germans are dull? They have die Märchen Strasse (the fairy-tale street) und die Romantische Strasse (the romantic street)!! A country like this is absolutely worth of discovering. //wink
Schwarzwald
I love southern Germany! The woods, the lakes, the friendly people (well, generally they are)! I must admit I am more a country sort of girl. The rushing pace in big cities often makes me tired. We went to Titisee from Freiburg one day and on the train to Titisee, we met a lovely little boy called Tobi. My German was probably only at the baby level, so we had a pleasant talk~ Tobi was only five years old then, so he seemed confused when he heard I was "einundzwanzig". Ha, 21 must be unbelievably old to him. When I asked where he came from, he said he came from the kindergarten. Isn't he simply adorable? (^ω^) Oh, and in Freiburg, an elderly shopkeeper fixed my camera for free. He smilingly waved his hand and said it was nothing. I appreciate his help! Without him, I wouldn't have kept the precious memories all long the trip. He was such a gentleman~~ (^▽^)

Heidelberg
Heidelberg (海德堡) is said to be the most romantic town in Germany. This is the scene you will see when walking out of the town on the way to the Philosophenweg (哲學家小徑) and then turning you head back toward Heidelberg. By the way, Philosophenweg is actually on a sort-of-steep hill. I did not have any philosophical thought when "climbing" all the way up there. Ha. But when we got there, the view was completely beautiful with a poetic kind of quietness.

If you visit the castle of Heidelberg, the guide will show you this huge cask. Its capacity is about fifty thousand gallons; it is the largest cask in the world! I tried walking on the top of it (where as you see was fenced by the railings), wondering if the wine elves would suddenly come out to say hallo. Well, all close friends know I am such a silly girl~ ^Q^
Byt the way, I got to tell you something other than the cask. Remember to have some Heidelberg chocolate--Studentenküssen (student's kisses) for your beloved one. Er, and you really should at least taste it yourself. You see, it's not like you have a chance of visiting Heidelberg every week. So, seize the chocolate~~ :p
