首爾藝穗節Seoul Fringe Festival 

Having started as an independent art festival in 1998 under the motto of “Experiment and Grope of Korean-style Fringe", Seoul Fringe Festival holds festivals centered around Hongik University (the centre of “indie” culture in Seoul) every August.  This year is the 10th anniversary of the festival.

Environments of culture and arts have been progressed and awareness of cultural diversity has been grown. Accordingly, the number of fringe artists has been increased. More leading role of the festival has been demanded. By more doing publicities and marketing activities, the festival aims to enable artists to meet more audiences, develop various programs for nurturing creativity of artists from diverse fields, produce varied discourses for artistic works and encourage experimental sprits to explore alternative space and make  arts forms beyond traditional genre barriers. 

The 10th Seoul Fringe Festival

• Date: 14 August ~ 1 September 2007  *19 Days 

 • Places: Over 20 Theaters, Galleries, Live Clubs and Fringe Street around Hong-Ik Univ. area

- Music Festival Go-Sung-Bang-Ga 高聲放歌

- Visual Arts Festival Nae-Bu-Gong-Sa 內部工事

 - Performing Arts Festival Yi-Gu-Dong-Sung 異口同聲

 - Street Festival Jung-Gu-Nan-Bang 衆口難防
