如果你有熬夜收看麥可傑克遜（Michael Jackson）在洛杉磯史代波中心的追思會，應該會看得跟我一樣熱淚盈眶，會末全體大合唱《四海一家》（We Are the World）及《拯救世界》（Heal the World），更是牽動了很多像我這樣生於七○年代、長於八○年代的人的共同回憶。

我的西洋啟蒙音樂應該算是《We Are The World》這首歌吧，那時只有十歲的我，當然一個單字都聽不懂，但報上幾乎天天報導衣索比亞的慘劇，余光的《閃亮的節奏》也每集狂播《四》歌MV，看著一個個歌手連番上陣，讓當時幼小的我很是好奇。

《四》歌由麥可傑克遜及萊諾李奇（Lionel Richie）共同寫詞譜曲，他倆只花兩個半小時就完成這首史上最芭樂的慈善歌，並由王牌製作人昆西瓊斯（Quincy Jones）製作，雖然是為了呼應英國的慈善單曲《他們知道聖誕節嗎？》（Do They Know It’s Christmas?），但成績顯然更上層樓，英美兩地都拿下單曲冠軍，並拿下葛萊美獎年度唱片、年度歌曲、流行合唱團及最佳錄影帶四項大獎。

麥可創造《顫慄》、《四海一家》的偉大，不在於多首排行金曲，也不在於耀眼的銷售成績，知名樂評人吳正忠曾說：「他的偉大在於影響並啟發了其他的黑人藝人，不再因此畫地自限，黑人音樂可以跨起R&B或藍調等傳統藩籬，像《顫慄》一樣開創新的領域。」

很多人知道，月球漫步、狼人排舞及45度前傾舞這些舞步的創造者都有一個共同名字──麥可傑克遜，他同時也是個作家、作曲家及插畫家，敢於作夢，並築夢踏實。在他小時忙於巡演、缺乏同伴玩耍的日子裡，他在自己的腦子裡造夢，幻想置身「夢幻國度」，長大後甚至打造了一座夢幻莊園，開心招待小朋友，當起「山大王」。

他才華洋溢，創造多首冠軍單曲，他將功勞全歸於上天的恩賜，他說：「我彷彿聽見有人在我耳邊唱歌，那一定是上帝的旨意，透過我把上帝的作品傳遞到人間。」他熱愛插畫，他與保羅麥卡尼合唱的單曲《這女孩是我的》（The Girl Is Mine）中，就生動描繪出兩人為一個女孩爭風吃醋；唱出他受家暴的《童年》，則重現他小時躲在角落裡的孤獨感。他的筆觸簡單卻生動，透露出他敏感的一面。

他愛跳舞，常在寫歌時便不時冒出靈感，跳出舞步，包括唱《比利珍》創造月球漫步、《顫慄》練出狼人排舞、《溫柔的罪犯》更設計出45度前傾舞步，都叫人看得嘆為觀止。一九九三年他獲得45度前傾舞步動作的專利權，象徵只有他能獨「步」舞林，美國媒體說：「看他跳舞宛如欣賞神奇的魔術表演。」

他5歲與兄長合組「傑克遜五寶」（The Jackson 5）出道，十二歲擁有個人首支冠軍單曲《金鼠王》（Ben），24歲推出《顫慄》專輯大放異彩，「玉婆」伊麗莎白泰勒封他為「流行樂之王」（King of Pop），但他仍不忘這世界奔走，響應「四海一家」（We Are the World）慈善活動。一九八八年他終於實現兒時夢想，住進擁有摩天輪、旋轉木馬、動物園的夢幻莊園，並招待小朋友一同玩樂。

一九九一年他再推出《危險之旅》（Dangerous）專輯，再度語重心長地唱出了《Heal the World》，呼籲世人不要製造動亂令無辜的小孩受苦，歌詞中多句重覆了《We Are the World》的願景，他也曾說過：「這首歌是他最感到驕傲的作品。」他甚至為此創立了「拯救世界基金會」，致力於慈善活動。這首歌在九二年底推出當時，在英國拿下亞軍席次，僅次於惠妮休斯頓（Whitney Houston）《我會永遠愛你》（I Will Always Love You），在美國卻意外不受落，屈居第二十七名。

他深愛世人與孩童的形象，卻在隔年遭受嚴重挑戰，他竟遭控對孩童進行不當性騷擾，最後雖然和解收場，卻也成了他此生最遺憾的事。儘管日前新聞揭露他當時是受迫於保險公司的壓力，不得不簽署和解聲明；當年提出指控的小男孩，也坦承是誣告，但已對他及歌迷造成嚴重的陰影。

今年六月二十五日，在他來不及重整夢想之際，他，卻如同他所演唱的歌《太匆匆》一般，在最美的時刻「稍縱即逝」，告別人間。這首《太匆匆》是他寫給一位因為愛滋病而早逝的年輕小朋友，當年只在英國推出單曲，也是《危險之旅》的第九首單曲，但只拿下第三十三名，一九九七年英國黛安娜王妃過世時，曾被選為紀念她的歌曲之一，如今再聽分外令人感傷。
