瑪丹娜（Madonna）《拜金女孩》（Material Girl）
「娜姊」瑪丹娜（Madonna）一出道就不諱言地說她的偶像是已故「性感尤物」瑪麗蓮夢露（Marilyn Monroe），她繼《宛如處女》（Like A Virgin）單曲後，第二支單曲《拜金女孩》（Material Girl），立刻搬出夢露在一九五三年電影《紳士愛美人》（Gentlemen Prefer Blondes）中，演唱《鑽石是女孩最好的朋友》（Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend）的標準造型，加以致敬一番。
一九八四年她順利以《宛如處女》征服歌壇，立刻向她的偶像瑪麗蓮夢露看齊，不僅在單曲MV《拜金女郎》模仿夢露的造型，還順勢進軍影壇，先在《奪標27秒》客串，並演唱主題曲《為你瘋狂》（Crazy for You）小試身手獲得矚目。在《拜》曲MV中，她身穿粉紅色小禮服，配戴著百萬鑽飾，周旋在眾多獻殷勤的男人面前，活脫脫就是夢露當年模樣再現。但此曲MV推出後，娜姊卻說她從不想跟夢露相提並論，令人有種「佔了便宜還賣乖」的感覺。
該曲推出後，很快地躍升至美國告示牌第四十三名，並以飛天速度進佔第五名，最後連霸兩周亞軍。不過，因為拜金形象太過招搖，有很長一段時間，媒體總愛以「拜金女孩」稱呼她，使得她直呼這是她最後悔錄過的歌曲，「早知道會怎樣，我當年就不唱了」。
這首歌對她還有另一層重要意義──她在片場遇見了她首任老公西恩潘（Sean Penn）。西恩潘經過她拍攝片場的後台時，兩人相遇，他倆一時天雷勾動地火，很快便互訴好感，甚至西恩潘知道她崇拜夢露，還特地帶她參觀夢露的墓園。很快地，他倆受不了因工作關係，長時間的分隔兩地，終於決定在同年娜姊生日當天，互訂終身。我還記得那時新聞媒體竭盡所能地拍到他倆結婚的畫面，出動直升機前往拍攝，此舉終於把她惹火，她在沙灘上寫上大大的「Fuck」一字，並順勢比起「問候你娘」的手勢。
