This article was collaboratively worked out by me and the other teacher sitting next to me on our Tuesday's teacher's meeting. Time was limited then. As you can see , there are some places that need to be corrected or improved.


The world seems to be getting smaller for several reasons.
First of all, due to the development of hight-tech, internet and cellphone, people from different countries are enabled to communicate with each other immediately.

Secondly , the invention of various transportation, such as air plane, high-speed rail, shortened the distance of the world. Nowadays, it needs no more to take you 180 days to travel around the world, maybe just a week will do.

Finally , the Green house effect also contributes a lot . It makes the world get warmer which causes the rising of the water level. According to the research done by some scientists, the Shang-Hai City in China will disappear within 50 years.

Is it a good change that the world gets smaller? Or is it a bad situation for our earth? We believe history will tell us. Let's just wait and see.
