　　奧運史上的第一首主題曲(奧林匹克頌歌不算的話)，應該是1984年洛杉磯奧運上，由知名作曲家Giorgio Moroder創作的"Reach Out"。在1984年洛杉磯奧運之後，每一屆的奧運主辦單位都會選出一首歌曲，用來詮釋表現當屆的奧運主辦國家的精神和特色。

　　這首歌曲會被普遍認為是最早被世人所知的主題曲的原因，是1984年的洛杉磯奧運當時電視轉播的技術已經成熟，這一首歌也伴隨著這一屆的奧運，在全球同步播放。

　　不過這首歌曲的原唱是誰似乎沒有個詳細解答(可能是年代久遠了吧～～)，有很多說法都指向Lionel Richie，但是Lionel Richie在當年的開幕式演唱的歌曲叫"All Night Long"。我當初找到這首歌反而是在作曲家Giorgio Moroder的精選輯當中，而且裡面收錄的是人聲演唱的版本喔！這首歌曲可以說是具備了日後多數運動比賽主題曲的基調─振奮人心、把握夢想的歌詞和悠揚、激昂的旋律。
