　　較少受到注意的冬季奧運感覺也比較少花心力在主題曲的遴選、創作或是宣傳上，以往的冬季奧運不是找歌首來唱已經收在自己專輯裡的歌曲，就是唱翻唱歌曲(例如1998年長野冬季奧運就是唱翻唱歌。)

　　2002年在美國鹽湖城舉辨的冬季奧運，除了有Christina Aguilera演唱當時Stripped專輯中的歌曲之外，主題曲也請來當年身價人氣都火紅的LeAnn Rimes演唱。

　　這首歌曲名為"Light The Fire Within"，與鹽湖城奧運的官方口號相同，並邀請來大牌作曲家David Foster創作(又是David Foster XD)，看來美國人很愛搞主題曲這一套............

　　這首歌曲找來兒童合唱團合唱，替整首歌添加很多清新的童真，不過我比較難對這首歌留下深刻的印象，因為我覺得這首歌的旋律記憶點不強(聽了好幾次，還是想不起旋律來......，可能是曲子本身並沒有很突出吧！)，也因此傳唱度就不會太高。

　　

　　當時演唱這首歌的LeAmm Rimes正發過她歌唱生涯中評價最高的專輯"I Need You"(2001年發行)，她最廣為人知的歌曲應該就是女狼俱樂部的主題曲"Can't Fight The Moonlight "，後來大紅又唱了冬季奧運主題曲後，"I Need You"專輯在2002年改版重新發行，把"Light The Fire Within"收進去(並且排在第一首)。

　　LeAnn算是很早就出道的歌手，1996年以"Blue"拿下葛萊美獎最佳新人獎和最佳鄉村女歌手之後算是一炮而紅，期間也發了不少翻唱專輯。不過在2001年的"I Need You"專輯後她的事業好像不但沒有起色，還越走越下坡，2002年的Twisted Angel、2005年的鄉村專輯"This Woman"、2006年只在歐洲發行的"Whatever We Wanna "到2007年的"Family"都無法幫她在流行歌壇更創下顛峰了。(不過2003年發的精選輯倒是有靠著舊作重新引起消費者的注意。)

　　2006年在義大利都靈舉辦的冬季奧運，閉幕式就找了Andrea Bocelli演唱歌曲"Ama Credi E Vai (Because We Believe)"，這首被認為是都靈冬運主題曲的歌曲收錄在Andrea Bocelli於2006年發行的專輯Amor中，雖然不是替這次冬運特別創作的歌曲，不過是一首旋律很優美的歌，很值得一聽。
