Hello Slackers and Slaxers :)

A release candidate of Slax 6 is available, based on Slackware current
with Xorg 7.2 (XGL ready) and development module bundled in.

In order to download Slax 6, visit
ftp://ftp.slax.org/SLAX-6.x/rc1/

Slax is now available in two forms:
- ISO file: to burn to a CD media
- TAR file: to extract directly to your USB Flash Drive

If you decide to use TAR, make sure to run /boot/bootinst.sh
(or /boot/bootinst.bat from Windows) after you unpack it to your device,
to make your Flash Drive bootable.

Known bugs: module manager doesn't work at all yet, so you can't add modules
on the fly. But adding them to ISO (or directly copying to USB Flash Drive
to /modules/ directory) works. Slax currently supports maximum of 1023 modules.

If you are interested, a third preview of Slax 6 is available, based on
the amazing aufs filesystem, using 2.6.20 kernel and LZMA compressed
modules. This release adds scripts to create bootable USB key in both Linux
and Windows operating systems, and replaces hotplug by udev to improve
boot speed.

最好笑的是脫口秀主持人最後耍白那段 ~ LOL

恩... 似乎有人不知道怎麼登入 slax
也許是開機時的 splash 閃的太快

簡單， 帳號： root , 密碼： toor

進去以後
如果想馬上進入圖形介面(xwindow)
在 shell 下打 startx ，按 Enter 即可！
或者在開機的 splash 畫面下方的提示列輸入
好像也可以吧... 忘了要輸入啥 .... 請按 F2~F3,4,5 鍵找看看

剛從 digg 發現了這篇文章 裡面談到 KDE 有多好

重點是
提供了幾個網路資源
其中 KDE-apps.org 是粉讚的一個喔
我就找到很想要的 可以在開機自動執行的管理程式 Autostart：

在我還沒研究出怎麼在KDE啟動時
自動載入程式的 script 修改方式前
這是似乎是不錯的選擇 :- )

雖然說 slax 是個 Live-CD
不過如果要把它徹底客製化（customizing）
用外掛 .mo 的模組好像是行不通的

因為今天我試了半天
再WinXP底下用 Nero 6.xxx 燒 slax 的 iso
如果 leave disc unclosed
那麼燒好的 CD 依然可以 boot
但是如果照 slax 官網講的 可以把想要的 .mo 丟到新的 session 裡面
也就是燒成一張 multi-session 的 boot-CD
我試半天沒成功過→至少 native boot 沒成功過
唯一成功的是在 VMware裡 神奇的它肯認 multi-session 的 boot-CD
但是俺ㄉNB 只有少少512MB Ram
給VM share 的記憶體並不多 軟體預設256MB
好像沒辦法完全把 .mo load 進去
所以我看到開機訊息吃了所有的 .mo
但是等開完、進入 x-window
並沒有全部出現該有的東西

還是我太貪心？
