玩NDSL動物之森的時候就曾想過，會不會有天任天堂也將發行動物之森的Wii版遊戲呢？那真的太棒了，在村莊裡需要一直跑來跑去，也不用Wii Fit了，還可以真實體驗搖果樹、釣魚、挖化石、敲錢袋的樂趣，光用想像的就覺得好有趣！
沒想到，就在2008年，Animal Crossing is coming to Wii！

副標題是City Folk，原有的遊戲元素又更進一步，譬如Gracie在城裡開店，看來不用隨機等他到村莊來了；WiFi的部分運用WiiSpeak，多重使用者可以對話，不需要苦苦敲鍵盤還受限於字數。這真是太神奇了！感謝Alice小姐提供的game trail，先睹為快，以及game designer Katsuya Eguchi先生的廬山真面目。
