（英譯） 半暝水潭邊 ê Hit-ê 人


朋友要求，只好 ka 英譯。

拙者英文程度有限，翻了有誤 tânn ê 所在，或者是語詞、語法有濟濟問題，lóng 是 ē-tàng 代先 pān-phue--ê，請諒情。

Tsit 首詩上早是 the̍h 去鹽分地帶文藝營交付，有 tio̍h 鹽分地帶文藝營文學創作獎第28屆詩歌組第2名，2008年tī《台文戰線》發表，收錄tī《泅‧海翁‧舞：2008台語文學選》（金安出版）。

總講 1 句，kah 若翻譯--a，就 ka hē 起來存檔，按呢 niā-tiānn。

月娘講伊beh來
Tshuā kui陣星
無pān-phue 雲厚kah

火金星靠岸
Khah tshiō to bē遠
Tshiō m̄知tsit暝有juā長
燈gia̍h--leh
Ná行ná比
想伊是利劍劍ê刀
風車am天khàm地ê烏
若起猛對敵
Kám有thang kā thih破廢無

1 隻sán馬

【英譯】

The One Standing by the Lake Alone

Standing alone by the lake with an oil lamp on hand
For the moon has promised that she will come
Followed by a crowd of stars
Nonetheless the clouds are unexpectedly thick
like the cotton wadding in the quilt in January

The fireflies approach the shore
with their light too dim to light up the faraway
and not able to enlighten the length of the night
With the lamp on hand
He walks and waves
as the lamp is a sharp sword
The windmill towers above with a giant shadow
If he rises with bravery to fight against it
Could it be taken apart and torn down

Probably he lacks an armor
and an emaciated horse
Probably it’s just time for deep dormancy
When being viewed from a distant place
he is mocked as a drunk firefly
that the light spots are not able to form a line
and his chanting not qualified to be called a song
Once the lamp moves away
The darkness is restored

However he’s waiting
For the sun has promised
to come before the daybreak
Now we’d better stir the water
he says
Don’t let it stay still
but poke the water to go against the rock
until the sunlight spears through the clouds
The virginal snows on Hehuan Mountain sprinkle
One after one
the lilies on the top of Mount Jade bloom

The lamp is going to extinguish
Its light obscured sheds on the clamorous billows
clamorous incessantly

He’s waiting for the dawn
with a lamp on hand

Still standing there
He’s waiting
