沒想到中國跟統媒的邪惡勢力也將觸角伸到民主美國。
時代雜誌用偏頗的觀點來報導這次吳淑真女士被起訴的華客禍台之亂，這是一個有悠久歷史的新聞媒體該有的行為嗎？
以我們所認知的美國新聞媒體從業人員之素質，這種無釐頭式的論述應該不至於出現。如果時代雜誌沒有盡到媒體應有的查證責任，為何敢把這麼偏頗的意見放在這麼聳動的：2006年度十大醜聞 這種標題裡呢？
我們可以合理的懷疑，媒體的公信是可以被收買的，要不就是中國在幕後運作，要不就是國民黨以他龐大的不法黨產為後盾。反正都是利益取向。
該不該發起拒看Time呢？我只記得，以前高中英文老師要我們每週看一篇Time的文章並寫英文心得，那時真是哭爹喊娘，每個字明明都查出來了，就是看不懂他在寫殺洨。後來才知道，大部分美國人也看不懂 -_-"。拒看這檔事，我看也不勞我們多費心了。

| Dear Editor, You list prosecution of President Chen’s wife as top 10 scandals in 2006. However, you fail to mention that many people believe it is just a minor administrative error. President Chen voluntarily cut his own salary by more than a million dollars and returned a special fund which is worth tens of millions of dollars and can be spent whatever way he pleases. It’s hard to believe that he would use such a troublesome and risky way, meaning asking his wife to collect more than 700 personal receipts from his family and friends, to pocket less than half million dollars of state fund. President Chen’s claim that the use of personal receipts is to fund the secret diplomacy is much more believable given Taiwan’s international status. In addition, the constitution of Taiwan prevents the President from being charged except for treason. It is to protect the presidency not any particular President let alone a “tailored Teflon suit” for President Chen. The wording is very bias and far away from truth. As one of the most influential news magazines, Time should strive to report the truth and the whole truth. Please correct the bias wording and make an effort to let your readers know the other side of the story. Otherwise, you will lose my trust and my subscription. |
