美國著名音樂家Frankie Laine 2007年2月6日辭世，享年93歲。Frankie Laine 20世紀50年代就已經爲大家熟知。他比較著名的歌曲包括《I Believe》和《Jezebel》等。去年，他還參加暸生平最後一場演出，演唱暸自己音樂生涯最有影響力的作品《That's My Desire》。他一生中得到過21次金唱片獎，專輯銷量達到2億5千萬張。
Rose Rose I Love You就是改編自陳歌辛的“玫瑰玫瑰我愛妳” 的英文版﹐為中國歌壇首支被翻成英文並揚威海外的作品。 第一首在國際上流行的中國歌曲，是有歌仙之稱的中國作曲家陳歌辛在中國唱片廠的小紅樓裡創作的《玫瑰玫瑰我愛你》，這首歌曲後來傳遍了歐美，並被廣為翻唱，成為了第一首被外國人翻唱的中國歌...四十年代，陳歌辛創作的“玫瑰玫瑰我愛你"不但走紅全國歌壇，二戰結束后,美國流行樂壇還有人把這首歌譯成英文Rose Rose I Love You，改編成爵士樂，出版了唱片及樂隊曲譜，流行於美國及世界各地，很受世界各國人民喜愛。
