猶如一部從倒塌的柏林圍牆，到歐非邊界新藩籬的歐洲公路電影，導演從北到南，曲折地穿越歐洲大陸，記錄了來自世界各地的新移民：柏林圍牆倒塌前便來 到柏林的巴基斯坦小販，早已落葉生根、兒孫滿堂的薩丁尼亞礦工，受庇護的政治難民、尋求受教機會的吉普賽人、尋求社福資源的殘障移民、因社會偏見困在貧民 窟的移民、冒險橫越沙漠渡海而來的非洲難民……，從柏林、比利時、法國到西班牙，這些人在歐洲社會重獲新的立足之地，安分的努力融入歐洲社會，造就今天歐 洲的樣貌。

拜經濟與科技全球化之賜，外來新移民大量湧入歐洲，社會結構急遽變遷，造就多元文化的新歐洲，然而伴隨改變而來的副作用，即是恐懼與偏見，西班牙與摩洛哥邊界，築起了歐洲另一道新圍牆。


This is a European road movie that travels from the defunct Berlin Wall to the brand-new barrier at Ceuta, on the African continent. As it zigzags through the borderlands, it focuses on a single theme: the new multi-cultural Europe, rejoicing in the diversity contributed by the foreigners, despite its tradition of rejecting them. From north to south, the director goes in quest of men and women who have migrated from all over the world, giving us cheerful, affectionate glimpses of their lives as they find places in the new society, participating in it with energy and generosity. Director of the somber "Might is Right," about migrant youths in French housing projects, Patric Jean offers a fresh, cliche- free vision of the new world of European immigration, with optimism, joy, and sometimes irony.
