第四部的人物是本哈德與艾克哈德，他倆直到今天仍是朋友。容爾說，拍他們沒那麼容易，因為他們小時候很安靜，習慣讓別的小朋友跑到攝影機前面。導演決定一起呈現他們，因為這兩個人有好幾個共通點。
本哈德與艾克哈德兩個人都是引擎安裝師，也都曾在農業合作社工作。2007年時，艾克哈德已經失業了兩年，而本哈德則固定到烏克蘭擔任農業專家。
結束長達拍攝了四十七年的十九部影片，終曲帶我們到了片子一開始，戈索幼稚園的沙堆。一樣有著孩子們正在唱著學校一天開始的晨歌，場景不免令人想到1961年時的那一批一年級小朋友。
在這漫長故事的尾端，攝影機即將從這學校放假，「戈索孩子的學校」成了它的別稱，我們向戈索道別，此時蓋比‧托馬斯的歌曲《奧德布魯赫之歌》（Oderbruch-Song）悠悠響起，演唱的是戈索小學六年級的學生。
Part 4 focuses on Bernhard and Eckhard who remain friends until today. It was not always easy for the camera, says Winfried Junge, because the two of them were quiet children who used to let others come to the fore. The filmmakers chose the stylistic device of a double portrait because the two have several things in common.
Bernhard and Eckhard, both trained engine fitters, both used to work at the agricultural cooperative. In 2007, Eckhard has been unemployed for two years whereas Bernhard regularly goes to the Ukraine to work as an expert in agriculture.
The epilogue, closing the last of the 19 films about the children after 47 years, leads us back to the sandbox of the kindergarten in Golzow where everything once started. Again, the abecedarians are singing before school starts and the scene reminds of the first graders in 1961.
At the end of the endless story, the camera takes its leave of the school that will henceforth bear the name “School of the Children of Golzow” – it says farewell to Golzow, accompanied by a song by Gaby Thomas – the “Oderbruch-Song”, sung by pupils of the sixth grade of the secondary school of Golzow.
