紐約時報專欄作家 David Pogue 日前有機會親手把玩 iPhone 實機，他將其自身試機的經驗，以及已經證實的官方資料，整理出一份關於 iPhone 的終極問答集, 我用我很爛的英文來轉述成中文一下(不負責翻譯∼錯了請跟我說 XD):

1. Is it an “unlocked” phone, so I can use it with a carrier other than Cingular? –No.
有鎖機

2. Will there be a non-Cingular version? –Not within the first two years.
兩年內不會有單機版

3. Can I put my T-Mobile SIM card in it instead of Cingular? –No
不能放其他的SIM卡 (是用這樣的方式鎖機嗎？連SIM卡都不能換那怎麼使用其他電信公司)

4. But what if I keep asking? Then will it be available beyond Cingular? –No.
目前不能使用除了Cingular以外公司服務的機子

5. Can it run Mac OS X programs? –No.
不能跑Mac OS X的程式 (早就料到)

6. Can I add new programs to it? –No. Apple wants to control the look and feel and behavior of every aspect of the phone.
不能自己安裝新的程式，因為Apple想要掌控整個手機操作的習慣 (什麼跟什麼，這太糟糕囉)

7. Does it run programs from Palm, Symbian, Windows? –No.
不能跑任何 Palm, Symbian, Windows的程式(這還說的過去)

8. Does it connect to iChat? –No
不能和iChat連結 (反正我很少用iChat)

9. Does it have games? –No.
沒有遊戲玩 (iPod video版本都有了，可惡可惡)

10. Is it ambidextrous? –No.
不是左右手通用

11. Does it have GPS? –No
沒有GPS (反正也不能自己裝導航軟體)

12. Voice recognition? Voice dialing? Voice memos? –No, although this could change by June when the phone ships.
目前沒有語音辨識，語音撥號以及語音記事, 不過六月的時候可能會改變 (應該是會有啦，商務機的基本阿)

13. Does it get onto the HSDPA (3G) high-speed Internet network that Cingular has rolled out in a few cities? –No. But Steve Jobs said a later version of the iPhone will — once there’s enough HSDPA coverage in this country to justify it.
目前沒有3G (XD), 但是Steve說如果有足夠的3G市場(美國?)的話就會有

14. Does the Web browser support Flash or Java? –No.
瀏覽器不支援Flash 和 Jave

15. Will it play music over Bluetooth? –Unknown.
目前不知道可不可已經由藍芽播放音樂

16. Can you change the battery yourself? –No. You’ll have to send the phone in to Apple for battery replacement, just as with the iPods.
不能自行更換電池，必須和iPod一樣拿到Apple的電池更換中心

17. Can it open Word and Excel documents? –No. (Steve Jobs says it can open PDF files, though.)
不能開Word or Excel檔案，據說PDF可以

18. Can you use it one-handed? –Yes, for some functions. But overall, it’s less convenient than on a phone with physical keys.
某些功能可以用單手操作，不過還是實體鍵盤來的方便

19. Can I make a call while driving a car? –Not as easily as on a regular cellphone with programmed speed-dial keys. (Besides–MUST you? 一定得這樣嗎)
開車時不像一班設定過快速鍵手機方便撥打電話 (這應該不適合我老媽用)

20. Does the camera record video? –Not yet. Apple may add this feature by June.
相機尚未支援影像錄影，未來會增加

21. Does it connect to standard iPod accessories like car docks and speaker systems? –Yes!
可以使用原本iPod所使用的連接器，例如車上連接器

22. Does it work overseas? –Yes. It’s a quad-band GSM phone, meaning you can use it in almost any country (for an added fee, of course).
加些費用，可以拿到國外使用，它可是四頻手機

23. Is there a Verizon version? –NO!!!!
沒有Verizon電信公司的版本 (Verizon是美國的電信公司)

24. Will they make a non-cellphone version–a widescreen touch iPod? –Nobody knows. Apple doesn’t leak product info until it’s good and ready.
目前沒有單純的寬螢幕觸碰式iPod, 我們不會洩漏，除非我們準備要發表

25. That scrolling through lists thing is glitzy, but what if I have 3,000 names in my address book? –There’s also an alphabet “index tab” down the right side of the screen, so you can jump to another spot in the list.
他向電話本一樣有標籤分頁 (好貴的電話簿阿)

26. Is there a calendar? –Yes.
有日曆功能 (阿人家都說用iCal了)

27. Will it sync with Outlook? –No.
不能和Outlook同步 (太棒了，Outlook跟iCal比就好像LP比雞腿)

28. What about airplane use? –It has a airplane mode (wireless off), just like any cellphone.
有飛行模式

29. Won’t the screen get smudgy? –It does, but you don’t see it except when the screen is off. The one I played with was pretty streaky, but wiping it on my sleeve cleaned it completely.
容易弄髒螢幕(用手指頭觸碰當然髒，老師有教，手指頭有很多細菌，摸一下培養皿還會長香菇喔)

========翻譯結束，開始講評========

老實說，一開始在看Steve演講的時候，真的是心情亢奮，簡直到了小朋友要撒出去的地步，但是看完了這些終極問答(應該有90%可信度), 心情涼了90%... 其實iPhone這個硬體規格，是大家都作的出來的，我相信台灣的宏達電不會比他差，而整個iPhone的核心價值，應該就在於Apple 把 Mac OS X 弄進手機裡面，照理來說，經過一定流程的改寫，我們可以方便的使用一些小程式(硬體限制還是在的，太猛的程式會跑的氣喘如牛 longhorn) ..但是按照保大叔的問答，Apple想要完全的掌控大家的使用習慣，也因此，我們無法自己灌入程式... 所以現在只有一種方式，就是利用iTunes每次跟電腦同步的時候，看看Apple提供什麼新功能，我們再用，或是，去跟Apple買新的功能更新進來，這是一項非常搶錢的事情，所有第三方的軟體公司，必須跟Apple簽訂協議，才有辦法在上面開發軟體，然後經由Apple發布賺錢，中間Apple可能還要跟他們收取費用，不過好處就是，我們的使用思維，可以依照Apple舊有的習慣：簡潔，人性。

再來是3G, 這個我不太擔心 Apple提供了EDGE (美國內類似GPRS的功能的東西), 但是，Apple亞洲大客戶：日本，除了iMode外，主流就是3G, 我想Apple為了要打入日本市場，一定會把3G加入低(日本限定版...不要阿...)

如果上面90%都對，我看我想要換iPhone還要仔細考慮考慮，還是來Wii吧
