昨日收到一本早前Peter Yarrow以Puff The Magic Dragon故事骨幹為主的故事書，也可以叫畫冊吧，內頁全是用插畫將整個故事描繪出來，但結局最後的一頁多了新的著筆，Jackie長大後，帶同他的女兒與Puff重聚。 ^_^

這首耳熟能詳的童謠收錄在Peter, Paul and Mary在1963年一張名為”Moving”的大碟內，其後登上流行榜第二位。原來當年Peter有一位大學同學Lenny Lipton有一天坐在Peter的打字機上打了一首詩，就是Puff的部份內容，Peter覺得很有趣，於是就延續將故事寫下去，就成了這首到現今仍為津津樂道的名曲。


但”Puff” 曾被Newsweek Magazine視為隱喻吸毒的歌曲，星架坡就在1963年禁播，Peter在多個場合中多次重申 “Puff” 只是一首講述小孩經歷長大後，童真隨之而去的一首童謠而已。 1981年，Peter, Paul and Mary在加拿大的一次的演唱會中，Peter再次回應這曲的含意 ： http://www.peterpaulandmary.com/pd.ram
