Oxfam，該是曾在英國住上一段時間的人，在商店街上流連時不會錯過的地方。

偶然間，看到了這個新聞：

Oxfam opens first online charity

Oxfam is launching what it says is Britain's first internet charity shop today.

某個意義，Oxfam幾乎遍佈英國城鎮的二手慈善商店，也許可說是英國最老牌的「社會企業」（social enterprise）之一吧。

如今，看到這則新聞簡要的背景說明，才發覺各類的拍賣網站對於Oxfam二手慈善商店的營運所可能帶來的衝擊： 

The charity has faced increasing competition from auction websites, which allow second-hand goods to be traded more conveniently.

尤其，面對英國近年來的房地產熱，似乎情形有了點雪上加霜的味道： 

Oxfam's 750 outlets have also suffered from soaring High Street rents, which have eaten into their income.

看來，既使老牌的「社會企業」，也需要創新，才能面對社會經濟環境的劇烈變遷。

反過來說，下個階段裡，社會企業裡最突出的發展，可能也都脫離不了資訊通訊技術的運用。在我們關注於ICT4D的時候，也許，也該來關注 ICT for social enterprise 了。
