難免跟Joanna Newsom比較，來自英國的豎琴演奏／歌手 Serafina Steer同樣讓豎琴音樂呈現新風貌，卻不忘從傳統古典英式民謠中吸收養分，喜愛 Vashti Bayan,Laurie Anderson,Brian Eno 和Kate Bush的朋友，Serafina Steer是你千萬不能錯過的好聲音。
Serafina Steer writes and plays amazingly beautiful and original songs
to her own style of classical harp playing. She's one of my favorite new
songwriters. Her new stuff will be out soon on Static Caravan
Recordings. She's sessioned for just about every up and coming act in London
including Adem and Cibelle. Everyone I know thinks she's brilliant."

before spending a summer being harpist in residence at Dartington
International summer school on a collaborative new ensemble piece with Indian and
English musicians under Ravi Shankar and playing in a new ballet at Covent
garden ('Ghosts' by Cathy Marston and Dave Maric).
Looking for inspiration their was a period in a silent retreat before
composing the music to Cheap Demo Bad Science using the Schillinger
System of Orchestration. The album was then recorded in various locations
around London. From a disused east end public house to an abandoned house in
the middle of a roundabout. Allthese studio spaces are now due to be
demolished.
