Lines features 16 works by van Gogh, Matisse, Pollock, Morandi, O'Keeffe and others. And Stories includes Chagall, Wyeth, Lichtenstein, Dubuffet, Shahn, Moore and Magritte. Each volume comes with an illustrated summary of artworks.

The author has worked in many museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

創意總動員--春季創意外文書展 (4/23~5/23)

聯合國教科文組織(UNESCO)自1995年起，把4月23日定為「世界閱讀日」(World Book & Copyright Day)，希望藉著這個重要的日子，向大眾(尤其是年青人和兒童)推廣閱讀和寫作，以及宣揚跟閱讀關係密切的版權意識。

為響應世界閱讀日，我們將在 4/23~ 5/23特別舉辦「創意總動員--春季創意外文書展」，現場將展出大量繪本、藝術、設計、創意教育等書籍，除了精選中文出版相關書籍，更特別搜羅國外出版社高質量出版物，包括德國Taschen、Steidl；英國Thames & Hudson；日本PIE BOOKS以及美國的Clarion Books等，澳門讀者將有機會近距離接觸這些國外知名出版社的精彩出版物。

書展其間，現場所有國外、香港及中國出版品全面85折，台灣出版品全面75折！！(只限會員) 請各位愛書人好好把握機會！！

23 April: a symbolic date for world literature for on this date and in the same year of 1616, Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, K. Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo. It was a natural choice for UNESCO's General Conference to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for the irreplaceable contributions of those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.

To celebrate this important day, Pinto Livros will host a special event from April 23 to May 23, entitled "Reading Creativity – Spring Foreign Book Fair," as an opportunity to present to you many books on art, design and creative education, as well as a large selection of illustrated books. In addition to large quantities of carefully chosen Chinese titles, there will also be many high quality books from renowned international publishers available, such as from Taschen and Steidl of Germany, Thames & Hudson of the UK, PIE BOOKS of Japan and Clarion Books of the US. We hope that through this event, readers and book lovers of Macau can experience first-hand the wonderful and exciting world of books.
