These bright, compact hardcovers introduce young readers and their parents to six visual building blocks--Lines, Shapes, Colors, People, Places and Stories--via an assortment of the great masterpieces of twentieth century art.

Author Philip Yenawine, the longtime Director of Education at The Museum of Modern Art, is currently co-director of Visual Understanding in Education, a developmentally based education research organization. He has also been affiliated with education programs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.

In Shapes Yenawine asks questions like, "Can you find buildings? And roofs?" while looking at a Picasso study. Other Shapes artists include Seurat, Gauguin, Malevich, Mondrian, Arp, Klee, Smith and Dali. Colors looks at Monet, de Kooning, Kandinsky, Albers, Stella and Johns, among others. 創意總動員--春季創意外文書展 (4/23~5/23)

聯合國教科文組織(UNESCO)自1995年起，把4月23日定為「世界閱讀日」(World Book & Copyright Day)，希望藉著這個重要的日子，向大眾(尤其是年青人和兒童)推廣閱讀和寫作，以及宣揚跟閱讀關係密切的版權意識。

為響應世界閱讀日，我們將在 4/23~ 5/23特別舉辦「創意總動員--春季創意外文書展」，現場將展出大量繪本、藝術、設計、創意教育等書籍，除了精選中文出版相關書籍，更特別搜羅國外出版社高質量出版物，包括德國Taschen、Steidl；英國Thames & Hudson；日本PIE BOOKS以及美國的Clarion Books等，澳門讀者將有機會近距離接觸這些國外知名出版社的精彩出版物。

23 April: a symbolic date for world literature for on this date and in the same year of 1616, Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, K. Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo. It was a natural choice for UNESCO's General Conference to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for the irreplaceable contributions of those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.

　「有夢森林」兒童書展是《劇場‧閱讀‧劇場》的首個延伸活動，將劇場藝術與閱讀精神結合，書展主題圍繞夢想、分享、關懷世界而設，當中的童書來自世界各地，場地擺設以小孩子的角度去設計，鼓勵小孩更主動地接觸書本，自由自在地享受閱讀樂趣。每天特設「「夢姐姐說故事」和「開心夢畫」時段，由專職演員和兒童導師主持 , 小孩更可于「夢森林」掛畫區中自由地掛放「開心夢畫」。
