Divine Chocolate, a Fairtrade certified chocolate, is different from other brands of chocolate. As it is produced by The Day Chocolate Company, with 45% co-owned by the cocoa farmers cooperative Kuapa Kokoo (means "Good Cocoa Farmers Company") in Ghana, West Africa.
“最好中的最好” 是西非加納農民合作社 - Kuapa Kokoo 的格言。 現時在900個村莊內，他們已有45,000名會員。With a motto of "pa pa paa" which means "best of the best" in their local language, Kuapa Kikoo has 45,000 members in 900 villages now.
“我希望我的子女能接受專上教育。”Sakinatu Razak，一位住在加納一條村莊的婦女說。 她和丈夫都是Kuapa Kokoo的會員。 她的兩名子女現時就讀在由公平貿易社會保障金所興建的學校裡上學，社會保障金是一筆用於社區建設的基金。 “Kuapa Kokoo學校是全地區最好的學校，現在我的子女已學會了說英語呢!”
“I want to educate my children to the highest level,” Sakinatu Razak says, she lives in a village in Central Region of Ghana and together with her husband, they are member of Kuapa Kokoo. She has two children in the village school, which was built with Fairtrade premiums, an extra payment especially uses for community development. “The Kuapa Kokoo School is very good – the best in the area and my children can now speak English,” she adds.
