在澳門，印尼女移工在身份上被認定為“外勞”；她們離鄉別井，長期在外工作，面對澳門的花花世界，她們的情感世界是怎樣的呢？長期與丈夫及子女分離，沒有家人感情上的支持，同鄉姊妹間的情誼成為她們在沉悶工作以外的唯一慰藉。新馬路的歌聲和舞蹈，表達出她們離鄉打工的心情。然而，在回歸鄉土後，她們的生活又是怎樣的呢？沒有激盪人心的大事，只有跟你我一樣淡淡的“各按其時”的生離死別、悲歡離合。“吶喊、歸心、飄泊、寄望、情誼”成就了她們在澳門的“她史”(HERstory)。

This is a story of the Indonesian female immigrant who left their homes to work as domestic helpers in Macao, a predominantly Chinese community and a city of casinos and entertainment parlours. While confined by drudgeries to the homes of their employers, they find emotional sustenance in songs and dances shared with their female compatriots at Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro. For many immigrant workers, being separated from their husbands and children for years on end, going home turns out not only to be stories of reunion but also separation. Speaking up, homesick, adrift, hopeful, and sisterhood are all words being part of HERstory.
