Silver Shotz不僅介紹世界名家的攝影作品之外，更重要的是討論黑白照片的沖洗與特效，把終極藝術的表現密技大方地公佈出來與大家分享。溴化銀（AgBr）是銀的溴化物。黑白底片、印相紙的材料大部分都是溴化銀做的。當光線進入鏡頭時，溴化銀會依據曝光的程度而顯出顏色深淺，沖洗店會用水將未曝光的溴化銀粒子洗掉，再將照片弄出來，而剩下的溴化銀粒子還可回收再使用。這就是為什麼傳統的底片照相，西洋人給它的名字是Silver Shotz。
