歷史教訓

紐約時報社論引述歷史學家 Arthur Schlesinger Jr.的評論，認為小布希總統的外交－尤其是伊拉克的失敗在於忘記歷史的記訓：
“in large part because he had committed the one mistake that a great historian could not abide, which was to wantonly ignore the experience of history”
