早上學到的第一個生字是STAFF。以前只知道STAFF意指員工，或枴杖。上網查樂譜記號的原文時，才知五線譜也是STAFF。這個字怎麼有這（至少）三種看似不相干的意思呢？根據韋氏辭典，這個字最初有支持的意思。員工支撐公司，枴杖支撐人，五線譜支撐音符。

小吃店的小小孩一天中最得意的一件事，就是在晚飯時分，客人上門，站在橫放在門口、長方形白色冰櫃一邊，看客人對碎冰裡的新鮮海魚投以何等好奇驚異的目光。小小孩像上台領獎，無比光榮，笑靨如盛開的花，不知凋謝。
