Google Earth 在日前推出了更多圖層，這次甚至包含了眼不可見的海底深處。

Google Earth 及 Google map 其實在我本身工作及娛樂上，原本就占了一些地位。最近他們將海底資料補齊，同時利用 kml 的方式（在Geocaching很常用），以圖層方式把許多資料標了上去。

NBC的新聞甚至還提到可以利用鯨魚追踪資料，自已在家也實地以鯨魚的視角來走趟旅程。


NBC 說這叫 Under the sea

Google has lifted the lid on its first major upgrade to its global mapping software, Google Earth.

Google Ocean expands this map to include large swathes of the ocean floor and abyssal plain.

  Two and a half years ago, the software engineers behind Google Earth, the searchable online replica of the planet, were poised to fill an enormous data gap, adding the two-thirds of the globe that is covered by water in reality and was blue, and blank, online.

你得先有左下的這些圖層，同時勾選後，在Google Earth上才會出現在那點，因此一些不常用，或不必要的就不用勾了。而圖中這個，就是NBC新聞中的鯨魚。



這是在台灣的。

類似這樣子的資料需要經過一段時間研究，然後轉化，最末才能真正的呈現給使用者。
