無差別格逗留

有位熱血鄉民CASPER桑，針對日前世界經濟論壇組織(WEF, World Economic Forum)發表世界各國競爭力評比時，將我國稱為"TAIWAN CHINA"乙事，撰寫了一封英文抗議聲明，希望大家有事沒空可以填寫請願信，將您的大名更改後寄給WEF評比小組gcp@weforum.org，讓他們正視我國的存在，也提醒他們在聯合國相關資料中找不到我國時不要亂"插補"！

另，忘了是gaidhlig還是哪位高人說過，抗議的高明之處在於理直氣合，先把對方捧的高高的，再不著痕跡地酸他一句帶出訴求來，這位CASPER桑正是如此，真是欽敬欽敬(抄筆記)！

Dear Madam/ Sir,

First of all, I would like to admire your organization for “Global Competitiveness Report 2007-2008”.
The complete survey provides not only broader view of modern changing world but also insightful analysis to each independent country.
Your effort helps individuals recognizing their countries comprehensively and thoroughly with global perspective, finding out their homeland merits that might not yet be aware of, and seeing the defectiveness that might be deliberately ignored,
Furthermore, it contributes to perceive other foreign countries and facilitates to compare one’s own nation with others in all respects with the ranking system.

I’m very proud and delighted to find my country TAIWAN at 14th place in the overall ranking in this report; it’s inspiring to see my country standing with the well-known advanced ones like Canada, Austria, and Norway, even ahead those of G7 like France or Italy.
At the same time, I felt frustrated and confused that how could a highly professionalized institute with excellent reputation like yours could muddle the name of a nation?
The Report describes my country as “TAIWAN, China”, what an incredible misunderstanding.
I must emphasize that the name of my country is “TAIWAN”, not “TAIWAN, China”.
TAIWAN and China are totally two different countries.
TAIWAN is a multiparty democracy country while China is a communist one.
TAIWAN doesn’t belong to China, is absolutely not and will never be a part of China.

One tiny little mistake might end as a lethal one to a great masterpiece.
Your description of our country name would not only insult all the Taiwanese citizens but mislead the impression of others that might confuse TAIWAN with China, which sits on 34th place of the Report.
Therefore, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to ask you kindly amending the description of my country name form “TAIWAN, China” to “TAIWAN” on “Global Competitiveness Report 2007-2008”.
Your impartial and unprejudiced work deserves the esteem of each and every single inhabitant in Taiwan.
