I won’t say that life is like a box

of chocolates.

It’s not true ‘cos we sometimes

(or often) get something very nasty.

Life does not necessarily promise sweetness,

nor fun, nor wonders.

Life is more like a task, a long long journey…

Full of ups and downs, but not necessarily ups after downs,

nor downs after ups.

Life is simply unpredictable, we can’t tell,

we can’t refuse, we can’t return.

Nothing else we can do, except to accept with courage

whatever comes forth,

be grateful when there is sweetness,

be nice to yourself and seize the day…

You’ll be fine. I know you will be.
