This painting reminds me of the time when I was studying in Rome. The studio was located at Santa Maria de Trastevere, right across a beautiful church in a lively piazza. I could hear the street vendors shouting, the people laughing, the dogs barking, the motorcycles riding on cobblestone, when the Italian professor was proudly presenting Italian Art and History to a group of non-Italian kids. The background noises added touches of warmth to the professor's tone. I miss the time when life was so care-free; but I wished I could be less "nervous" and less "stiff"...I am still learning how to make myself at ease all the time in different situations--on a foreign land, in front of new friends =)

how nice that you've spent some time in ROME.
i've been there once, many years ago. i fell in love with it almost immediately. especially those mornings when there's no one in the streets, except pigeons and the smell of expresso everywhere.

很久沒有串門子，最近為了公事忙得人仰馬翻。想不到今天看公司文件時看到De Chirico的名字，上網見到貼出來的畫竟是De Chirico。下了決心在【重生】之後要知多些De Chirico。

有空多來串門子，真巧合啊！
說來奇怪，以前常在畫冊裡看到De Chirico的畫，不算十分喜歡，是直至有次在德國看到幾幅真跡，當場震撼不能言，久久不能回過神來。
我甚至不知如何用文字述說出來，那種藝術的力量！
