Aimee Mann live @ Liquidroom Ebisu

這個月4號,很幸運的在東京惠比壽的Liquidroom看到Aimee Mann的演出,為何說幸運?因為10/4是加演 (根本不知道會不會買的到),10/3的票早已賣完, 10/3到飯店check in後直奔Lawson便利商店比手畫腳請求店員幫忙終於買到了票;因為, Aimee Mann來台灣演出的機會微乎其微.

這次演出是為了宣傳2005年新專輯THE FORGOTTEN ARM, 自從95年在主流公司發完I'M WITH STUPID專輯後, 2000年後的作品都是在Aimee Mann自己的廠牌SuperEgo下發行. 99年她為電影"心靈角落"(Magnolia)譜寫出大部份的音樂作品,讓她獲得商業上的大成功,主題曲"save me"還入圍了奧斯卡的最佳電影歌曲.

今天晚上Kenny Garrett四重奏在國家音樂廳所帶來的即興演出似乎一掃下午突如其來的一場大雷雨的煩悶之氣. 2個小時隨心所至的音符在身體與心靈間自由的竄動.

什麼樣的人生經歷，才會讓古人窮盡一生創作出流傳千古的鉅作？什麼樣的生活體驗，才會讓歌手寫出感動人心的音樂？

低調到不行[傳言因害怕鎂光燈不想與瑞妮齊薇格一起走奧斯卡星光大道而被瑞妮甩了]的愛爾蘭創作歌手Damien Rice，因不願屈服唱片公司希望他做一些適合電台播放的輕快作品，一番掙扎後毅然離開愛爾蘭前往托斯卡尼，並在歐洲展開街頭賣藝演唱。回到愛爾蘭後，幸運的遇到了愛才的電影配樂大師David Arnold [Stargate, Independence Day, Tomorrow Never Dies]資助他購買了可移動式的錄音室，個人專輯O才得以問市。簡單的吉他伴奏再加上大提琴的低沉琴聲，接近原音毫不花俏的真實聲音，唱出一幅幅浮現在聽者腦中的滄桑影像。

最近以”You Are Beautiful”一曲紅遍英國的James Blunt，在其歌聲背後很難想像當歌手前的他竟是個曾在科索沃打仗的的軍官，而且他說”My life is brilliant”, (我的生活很精彩)。我想是吧，戰爭中所產生的分離死別，絕不是我們這些一般人可以經歷跟體會的。

他們的作品，聽起來很純粹，很動人，很滄桑，但苦中帶著甜美。

能聽到這些作品，不只是幸運，還真是幸福啊！ music saved my life again！！
