布朗大學因為穆斯林學生的抗議而取消了由女性中心及一個猶太學生社團Hillel, 所邀請的, Nonie Darwish的演講. 這個令人生氣的新聞(見本文最後)告訴了我們爲什麼沒有穆斯林出來批判恐怖主義了 --- 他們的族人不允許, 即便是在美國這種自由的地方. 我們的言論自由正一天一天的,在假性平等, 及極端自由主義的大聲喧囂中,在消失中.

What? No recounts? No crying of voting fraud?

Is this America?



Have you noticed that "voter fraud", "voting irregularities", and "recounts, even in extremely close races are not worthy post-election issues this year even though we have been constantly reminded by Democrats and liberalsfor six years about the 2000 presidential election and for the past two years about 2004 election fraud in Ohio? Could it possible that these are important only when certain parties are not in power? Was no voter disenfranchised this election?

Republican won = voting fraud; Democrats won = no voting fraud. Hmmmm...　真巧！！

One thing for sure, liberals reallys know how to exercise "bitterness". 講句難聽的, 他們很會哭餓!

期中大選結束了. 除了讓我們共和黨員灰頭土臉之外, 最令人好奇的是經濟民粹主義 " Economic populism" 似乎變成主流了. 許多標榜著反對生產外流的民主黨候選人紛紛擊敗共和黨候選人, 尤其是在幾個失業率較高的州, 像是 Ohio, Virginia, 等等. 當你的州內有許多難以糊口的失業者, 任何改革的新口號都可輕易的得到支持. 經濟民粹主義? 看著辦吧!

In Ohio, Democratic House candidate Zack Space declared that "the loss of jobs to overseas markets is perhaps the most serious, long term threat to this country, and our way of life." Next door in the Hoosier State, Indiana Democrat Joe Donnelly, running in a district hit hard by factory layoffs, vowed to "vote against trade agreements that ship good-paying jobs overseas, such as the recent trade agreements with Chile and Singapore and CAFTA." In Iowa, Democrat Bruce Braley blamed free trade for the "loss of manufacturing jobs." It's all about green!!

歐盟電子電機設備中危害物質禁用指令( Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substance in EEE , ROHS ). RoHS指令之主要內容目標： 本指令目標在於使各成員國對於電機電子設備中限制使用危害物質的法律趨於一致，以利保護人類健康並促進廢電機 .... blah, blah, blah..

Though it may be a late response, a number of electronic industry experts are questioning the scientific reasoning behind the EU RoHS. Those speaking out against the legislation claim the EU did not base the directive on robost science. They point to a recent study that shows the conversion to lead-free solder actually runs contrary to the best interests of the environment.

Uh-Oh

It raises the issue that RoHS is based on faulty assumptions about environmental damage. RoHS was based on outdated concepts, such as lead leaching into the soil from discarded electronic products, that have since been proven scientifically wrong. 此次選舉的結果和大家預期類似, 沒有太大出入. 民主黨掌控眾議院(House), 而共和黨仍掌控參議院(Senate). 以下是我的幾點意見:

1. 市場反應應該是樂觀的. 畢竟塵埃落定, 沒有意外.

2. 我欣賞的,支持戰爭,脫黨競選的立柏曼(見我的立柏曼輸了)在淺藍(稍偏民主黨)的康州以不小的差距擊敗大左派, 民主黨黨內初選擊敗Lieberman 的 Lamont. 這顯示理性的中間藍色選民也不希望左派激進的立刻撤兵, 或有時間表的撤兵說. 又說明的民主黨的黨意與主流民意的有頗大的落差.

3. 右派在美國更站穩了腳步. 這次右派所能遇到的最壞的情況都叫他們給遇著了... 出乎意料的伊拉克派系準內戰, 軍紀問題, 共和黨內醜聞不斷, 全球暖化熱門話題, 左派媒體比以往更來勢洶洶...等. 應該是閉著眼睛都要大勝的民主黨竟是有限的勝利. 其中有許多勝利還是由中間派(甚至共和黨倒戈)的候選人替他們打下的江山. 請看下文"The True Ideological Battle".
